Amsterdam Vegan Food – Terrazen Centre

Terrazen Centre is a small family-run restaurant that combines Japanese & Caribbean food. Their ingredients are 100% vegan and organic as much as possible. The atmosphere is warm, in fact it feels like eating in someone’s home rather than in a Cafe. The communal tables help bringing people together in a friendly climate.

The menu is quite extensive for such a small place. We had a simple plate of fried rice & fried noodles that were served with freshly cooked vegetables and salad on the top. We saw many people have the Jamaican mixed plate, which was huge and looked delicious. Other items on the menu included sushi, dumplings, miso soup, spring rolls, burgers & fries, vegan chicken, tacos and many more.

Apart from the atmosphere, this place reminded me of Southeast Asia in the sense that if two or more of you order different dishes, you most likely won’t get to eat your food at the same time. This is because only one type of dish is being cooked at once.

Terrazen is very conveniently located in the heart of Amsterdam, between the Jordaan district and its beautiful canals, the Old Center, Red Light District, and only 2 minutes away from the main shopping street.
